The Domu remix of the classic "Be the One"Feat Humphrey were originally released in 2007 on the flip side of the 12" Laroye & Ky aka Kyroye " The Meet".
The Broken Beat Pioneer is soulfully two-stepping and shuffling it's way into your ears, with Humphrey’s vocals sitting on top of the track like chocolate frosting. This 12” has been played by all the Co-Op fam like Afronaught, Dego and IG, as well as Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Mitsu the Beats from Jazzy Sport.
Many moons ago Domu has done another version, more laidback and mellow in the groove which had never seen the light until today!! The universe recently reconnected us and he asked me if I wanted to put it out... So as an unconditional admirer of his work, I'm so thrilled to make it available here today, in the remix pack for all the music lovers and fans of Domu legacy. Enkoy!

Kaidi is the bomb, man. So brilliant! His music is HIS, but an approximation would be an insane crossover of jazz rock (some vintage sounds here and there, think Herbie Hancock, maybe some old Jeff Beck sans guitar), Flying Lotus and Squarepusher for the jazzy beat madness, and groovy stylish kings Azymuth. Or something like that. Just fuckin' killer music to move your body to. This record is HARDER than the mellower and jazz-funkier Hard Times EP. Get both, this guy is the shit. Cosmographer
